Pupils across the school from Nursery to Year 11 enjoyed a day off curriculum on September 30 to celebrate Global Be Well Day 2022! GBWD is a very special day in the Cognita calendar when all our schools simultaneously come together to focus on and celebrate the importance of Wellbeing. It provides a unique opportunity for schools to connect with each other through a range of Wellbeing activities based around the Be Well Charter.

The theme for this year was “Diet and Nutrition Through the Lens of Sustainability.” During the day, the pupils enjoyed presentations and a carousel of activities on the following topics:

  • Creating a Strategic Vision and Launch to Become A Surplus to Purpose School

  • The Importance of a Healthy Diet

  • Managing our Wellbeing

  • PE Department Scavenger Hunt – but did they work out what foods contain the most fats, carbohydrates or protein?

They also enjoyed a visit from Monty and Partridge – two friendly, family dogs.

Please enjoy our video on the day’s activities.
