Senior School Curriculum
STEAM POWERED
Our innovative STEAM approach emphasizes nurturing pupils’ creative talents while developing skills in design thinking, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, leadership, and resilience.
As part of a vibrant interdisciplinary curriculum, STEAM bridges practical and academic learning, equipping pupils with the skills and mindset needed for the evolving workforce. It harnesses technology and the sciences to prepare pupils for the demands of the future.
STEAM themes are explored across Art, Textiles, Design Technology, Food Science, Animation, and Computational Programming and Coding.
GCSE Options
ENSURING A BROAD AND BALANCED APPROACH
In Year 9, we work with pupils and parents to select GCSE subjects, offering guidance to align choices with individual abilities and ambitions while keeping future options open.
Pupils choose three GCSE subjects alongside compulsory English (Language and Literature), Mathematics, and Science (double award, with Separate Science optional). Weekly PE and PSHE sessions are also compulsory.
FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES
The Mathematics Department also offer the opportunity to study Further Mathematics and/or Statistics.
Pupils who wish to take PE as a GCSE subject, will need to select it as one of their three GCSE option choices.
From September 2023, we now offer a Business GCSE course.
Opportunities to aspire higher
READY TO ASPIRE HIGHER
Our Senior School pupils are encouraged to take part in nationally recognised competitions and accreditations.
