Scholars are offered opportunities to develop their talents within school and are expected to act as ambassadors for the school, upholding exemplary behaviour and leading their peers in extra-curricular and enrichment activities. They make a valued contribution to the rich and vibrant life of our school.

English, Mathematics, Science, Music & Performance, Digital & Creative Art, Technology and Sport scholarships are available for entry into Year 7 of our Senior School. We are also delighted to offer a STEAM scholarship, a unique opportunity for pupils who demonstrate outstanding achievement in 2 of the following subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering/Electronics, Art and Mathematics.
Applicants for English or Mathematics Scholarships will be invited to sit for either or both of these scholarship awards only if they demonstrate outstanding performance in the School’s Entrance Assessments.
Applications for Science, Music & Performance, Digital & Creative Art, STEAM, Technology and Sport scholarships are judged purely on merit, based on evidence gathered via a range of methods including auditions, work samples, interviews and references.
Applicants can apply for up to two scholarships.
Scholarships are awarded solely on merit and at the discretion of the Headteacher.
Year 6 3-Year Academic Scholarship
Colchester Prep & High School are delighted to offer 3-year academic scholarships to year 6 pupils demonstrating outstanding achievement in English and Mathematics
Applicants are required to undertake an assessment in English and Mathematics and attend an interview.
Scholarships are awarded solely on merit and at the discretion of the Headteacher.
Scholars can reapply for scholarships in Year 9.
