Daniel's story...
Daniel joined CPHS in Year 3 and thrived throughout his Prep years, finishing as Head Boy during the Covid years. With guidance from Mr Jamieson, Head of Prep & 11+ Coordinator, and Mrs K Smith, he achieved an excellent 11+ score, earning the choice between CRGS and KEGS.
Now at CRGS, Daniel has completed Year 10, taking Astronomy GCSE in a single year and achieving a Grade 9. He also secured a place on Oxford University’s COMPOS programme for advanced Maths and Physics, continuing into Year 11.
CPHS fostered Daniel’s curiosity and love of learning, laying strong foundations that continue to shape his success as he works towards his GCSEs.
Rosemary's story...
Rosemary joined CPHS with determination and quickly established herself as a bright and motivated pupil. She took full advantage of the school’s extensive sporting provision, balancing physical and mental wellbeing while actively preparing for the 11+ exams.
Her dedication paid off spectacularly: Rosemary scored an impressive 376 in the 11+, earning an offer from her chosen grammar school, Colchester County High for Girls—our highest achiever this year. In addition, she was the national winner of the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge for her age group, showcasing her exceptional aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Rosemary’s achievements reflect her hard work, focus, and the strong academic and personal foundations built at CPHS. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see her continue to thrive at her new school.
Akshay's story...
Akshay joined CPHS after moving from New York City and quickly settled in, enjoying his time at the school. Following the entry exams, Mr Young, then Head, suggested he move up a year—a decision that has clearly served him well. With guidance from Mr Jamieson, our 11+ specialist and Head of Prep, Akshay successfully passed the 11+ and progressed to Colchester Royal Grammar School, where he continues to thrive academically.
Now in Year 10, he has taken Astronomy GCSE in just one year, achieving an outstanding Grade 8. His journey reflects his resilience, dedication, and the strong foundation built at CPHS. The school’s nurturing environment and encouragement of his curiosity have played a key role in shaping his success, and we look forward to seeing the next chapter of his educational journey.
Phoebe's story...
Phoebe joined us in Nursery and has consistently impressed as both a dedicated scholar and a talented athlete. Over the years, she has shown remarkable commitment and resilience, earning a Sports Scholarship in recognition of her talent.
Following her 16+ studies at CPHS, Phoebe has secured a place at Ipswich High School as a scholar, where she will focus on Maths, Economics, Physics, and Psychology. Her outstanding GCSE results, 6 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, and 3 Grade 7s, reflect years of hard work, determination, and excellence across both academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Phoebe’s achievements are a true testament to the strong foundations built at CPHS, her dedication, and her natural talent. We are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished and look forward to seeing her continue to thrive in both her academic and sporting endeavours in the years ahead.
Delta's story...
Delta joined CPHS in Year 5 and quickly made his mark, demonstrating determination and a love of learning. Despite joining later than some of his peers, he attended all 11+ preparation sessions, dedicating himself fully to achieving success. His hard work paid off when he scored an impressive 359 in the 11+, earning an offer from his chosen grammar school.
Alongside this, Delta excelled in mathematics, achieving a score of 105 in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge and ranking second in the school up to Year 9, a true testament to both his talent and commitment. His journey highlights the strong foundations, guidance, and encouragement provided at CPHS, proving that dedication and resilience can lead to outstanding academic results.
Katie's story...
Katie joined CPHS in Reception and quickly became a confident and engaged member of the school community. Over the years, she benefitted from the school’s specialist 11+ preparation, attending our 11+ Club and receiving tailored guidance that helped her develop both her knowledge and exam technique.
Her hard work and dedication paid off when she scored an impressive 332 in the 11+, securing a place at Colchester County High for Girls. Katie’s success reflects not only her own determination but also the strong academic foundation, expert support, and encouragement she received throughout her years at CPHS.
