On Wednesday 3rd October, Year 5 took a trip to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village in Suffolk, as part of their humanities topic on the Anglo-Saxons. The children spent the first session touring the museum of artefacts, as well as trying on Anglo-Saxon costumes and a replica copy of the Sutton Hoo helmet. After lunch the children were given a chance to explore the village with its reconstructed Anglo-Saxon buildings.

The children returned to school with a considerable array of facts and information that they can use in their History and English lessons.
