On Friday 16th March 2018, Lauren, Shael, Tanish and Luke went to the EES for Schools KS2 Mathematics Competition. Heat 9. There were four rounds packed with challenging mathematics questions and tricky calculations. All of the rounds were based around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. The first round we had to do problem solving to work out the table plan. The second round was algebra, we had to solve the calculations to work out safe codes. The third round was more problem solving. The fourth round was geometry. We did well on the first two rounds but not quite as well on the last two rounds. Our team finished with a final score of 84 out of 99, which put us in 3rd place. We would like to say thank you to Mrs Dell and Mr Jamieson for taking us to the mathematics competition.
