Our Senior School Girls Netball Club thoroughly enjoyed their netball weekend away at PGL Liddington and looked incredibly smart and sporty in their netball dresses provided by the CHSA.

The trip was organised by Miss Banks of the PE Department to give the girls a chance to compete in Netball matches, build on teamwork, morale and the girl’s enthusiasm for Netball.

At the heart of the netball weekend programme was a tournament which gave the girls maximum match experience, the chance to compete against other schools and clubs and also the opportunity to learn from watching other teams play. The tournament closed with a special presentation of medals and trophies by a member of the England netball team.

There was also an opportunity for the girls to enjoy some of the outdoor activities at PGL.

And in the words of the pupils

By Izzy Year 7

“We started with breakfast then we went to warm up for our netball. Our first match we lost, then we lost again, then we lost again, then our last match we won 5-3 ! ? We met up with the Year 10s and the 9s and we went for lunch at 12 . After we went and got changed and went to the shop then to the activities. We went to the big swing and Elsa and Mia SCREAMED !!!! Then onto the leap of faith and the lady had a half hour rest and we only had 1 hour left. We all went to the zip wire and the abseiling was good. We then went back to the rooms and now we are going to a party !

“Egg and sausage for breakfast was super yummy! Bathroom got foggy. Big swing was really good but Maddy got stuck in the rope. Alice fell off the trapeze (but was still safe). Played a bit of netball. Started soooooo solid – but went a bit floppy. Now we’re going to a party.”
