Birkett Long £10 Challenge for St Helena Hospice
This term, Key Stage 2 have taken part in the Birkett Long £10 Challenge for St Helena Hospice. Birkett Long gave out £10 to each class who have been given the challenge to raise as much money as possible from the money. Fundraising ideas comprised of Bad Hair day (5C), Onesie Day (6H), Jenga Knock Out competition (3B), Bring and Buy Sale (5C)Adopt a Teddy Stall (5H), Pancake stall (6J), Ice Cream stall (4S), Fruit Kebabs and Candy Floss (4R), Lemondade and Cake (3D), Guess the weight of the cake (3B) and Card Game Competition & Penalty shoot Out (6H). In total the children raised £510 for St Helena’s Hospice, with adopt a soft toy, run by 5H raising the most money. Barclays Bank generously matched the total raised to raise an amazing £1020 in total. Thank you also to Dandy the Lion for visiting the school to collect the cheque, the pupils loved meeting you.
