We are pleased to offer a range of scholarships to prospective Year 7 pupils, some of which can be applied for, others of which are by invitation only.
After our Year 6 candidates sit their assessment test, we ask the highest achievers to come in for an interview and to sit a further assessment in English and Mathematics. If any excel in both subjects, they may be awarded Academic Scholarships, and if any perform well in one, they may receive a separate English or Mathematics Scholarship. All are awarded solely on merit and at the discretion of the Principal.
We also encourage candidates to apply for Senior Scholarships in Music, Art, Science or Sports. Again, all applications are judged purely on merit, based on evidence gathered via a range of methods, including auditions, work samples, interviews and references.
Other awards can be made if pupils excel as they progress through the school. And at the end of Year 7 the Principal may offer the Head Teachers Award a School Community Award to any student who has contributed fully to the life of the school and taken part in the School’s Character Development Programme to a high level.
This idea of contribution applies equally to all our scholars. They are expected to participate fully in all activities relating to their award and to demonstrate commitment and leadership in their field.

We offer a limited number of means-tested bursaries to make our education accessible to children we believe will contribute positively to school life and who demonstrate excellent behaviour and a love of learning.
Discounts are applied to core school fees excluding the cost of school lunches and any other additional payments. All bursaries are awarded for one academic year at the discretion of the Principal, subject to the availability of funds, and must be re-applied for annually. Please contact the Admissions Registrar on 01206 217116 to find out more.
