Welcome from the Principal

 "Welcome to Colchester High School, We aim to allow all our pupils to realise their full potential by ensuring we offer a caring, friendly and calm environment in which learning can take place.Small class sizes and a stable and committed team of staff ensure a clear focus on the strengths of each child.

We believe in offering a broad and balanced curriculum throughout the school. We feel that learning is not just academic but embraces a wide range of stimulating activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

We want to help our pupils develop into confident, disciplined and enquiring learners and therefore we foster a caring atmosphere in which pupils and teachers are sensitive to the needs of others.

We aim to encourage all pupils to become responsible individuals who can work together, co-operatively and with respect for their peers.

In addition, our pastoral system cares for the whole child and stresses the importance of their social, moral and spiritual development.

Running in parallel with academic achievement is our emphasis on a secure and caring environment which encourages good manners, consideration for others and a strong sense of social responsibility."
