Senior School Scholarships

Assessments for Senior scholarships take place in the Spring term of the academic year your child is in Year 6.

Current pupils and future or prospective pupils are assessed at this time.

Senior scholarships are awarded for the duration of a child's time in the Senior department - Year 7 to Year 11.

Senior pupils can apply for scholarships in Academic subjects, Sport and the Performing Arts.   A pupil may only hold ONE scholarship award.

Pupils who are admitted to the school in later Years are also able to be assessed for scholarship potential.

KEY DATES for Senior Scholarship applications 2011/2012

7th November 2011                      Taster Day for all external current Year 6 pupils registered for CHS Year 7 September 2012

Early October   2011                     Scholarship application packs posted to all current CHS Year 6; external current Year 6

                                                          registered for CHS Year 7 September 2012; and new joiners to the Senior School.

11th November 2011                    Deadline for return of preliminary application forms to sit for a Senior Scholarship.

9th December 2011                      Deadline for submission to Heads of Department of supporting material for scholarship

                                                          applications.

21st January    2012                    Assessment Day for external current Year 6 registered for CHS Year 7 2012 entry.

January/February 2012                Scholarship Trials

End of February 2012                  Scholarship results published
