Colchester High School Association
The CHSA has become an essential part of the life of the School. It is run by a committee of parents and staff from each department who promote social and fund raising events for the whole family; these provide both entertainment and funds to purchase items which enhance the pupils' education and the general life of the school.
The fund raising has led to the CHSA has presenting the School with many purchases including: a number of computers and monitors, special programmes for the Learning Support department, equipment for the Arts and Technology Wing, library books and teaching aids; CDs and Sports equipment. Some major purchases have been a computer projector and interactive white board; book cases for the Senior and Junior Libraries and a new trophy cabinet for the main hall.
Membership for all parents is free, and meetings are open to all, enabling all parents to vote on how the funds are spent.
