Juniors
Our Junior Department provides a traditional academic education for boys and girls from seven to eleven years. Our small groups allow both pastoral and subject teachers to work with each child to develop his or her strengths.
Many of our pupils progress to our Seniors, although we do prepare pupils for the 11+ entry examination for selective schools.
The curriculum is broad-based, providing the children with a good balance between arts, sciences and physical activity both inside the classroom and on curriculum linked visits. Years five and six are taught by specialist subject teachers, and are taught in sets for English and Maths.
Pupils enthusiastically attend a great variety of clubs; in particular, over half of the pupils in the Juniors play chess and represent the School at soccer.
